Jordan FC coach, Johanisi Nhuma believes they are the underdogs heading into their Munhumutapa Challenge Cup clash against Gwanda Pirates on Saturday.
The fixture is pencilled for Phelandaba Stadium in Gwanda.
Pacific Breeze Southern Region Soccer League side, Jordan will be away to Gwanda Pirates.
Nhuma said Pirates has been playing consistently well for the past two years making them favourites.
He however said the fact they are still part of the competition at this stage shows they are not pushovers.
“We will give it our best shot, we just have to be strong and focused. We are happy to be here and it shows the boys have been fighting and we will keep fighting,” he said.
Gwanda Pirates coach, Johannes “Tshisa” Ngodzo feels the teams are attended par considering their positions in the respective leagues.
“Jordan is playing well this season and we cannot underestimate them.
“I think it will be a balanced affair, it wont be an easy match. Both teams will come out fighting and it will be a competitive match,” he said.
Both coaches expressed pleasure at playing of this stage of the tournament with Tshisa saying it was good for the football fans in Gwanda that they are playing host to another epic tie after they had earlier watched his side take on Harare City at the same venue.
Nhuma said he fact Pirates are playing at home will give them an added advantage.
