Second half of PB SRSL kicks off

ACTION returns to the Pacific Breeze Southern Region Soccer League this weekend with nine matches lined up as the league begins its reverse fixtures.

The Week 18 games are headlined by the clash between Jordan and Hwange at Mhtwakazi Stadium in Filabusi.

With the log leaders seeking to cement their lead at the top it will be a gruelling tie.

While Hwange rode roughshod over Jordan at The Colliery beating the visiting side 3 – 0, Mthwakazi grounds is expected to be a totally different ball game, with Jordan expected to be a tougher opponent at home.

Jordan has built a reputation for being a tough team, particularly when they are playing at home and tomorrow’s game is not expected to be any different.

The match is certain to set the tone for Hwange’s quest for the championship as they show their first half performance was not a fluke.

They are yet to lose and have drawn only two games winning 14 games as they aim to make a return to the Premiership.

Jordan has also been a formidable side this season, proving difficult opponents. They have managed to grind results in tough matches and some have seen them as title contenders.

A win for Hwange will certainly boost their chances of making a comeback to the Premiership.

In other games, second FC Talen Vision takes on Bulawayo City on Sunday in a midday fixture.

Talen Vision are on the heels of Hwange as they are four points behind the log leaders.

Only a win for the Mkhuphali Masuku-coached side will be enough to ensure they keep the dream alive of pipping Hwange to the title.

A resurgent Nkayi United is up against a struggling Bosso90 and with the reverse fixture having ended 4 – 0 in favour of Nkayi, it could turn out to be another one-sided affair.

Khami United host Bulawayo Warriors, Imbizo battles Zebra Revolution, Megwatt takes on Mosi Rovers, Herentals is home to Blackrock, Aqua Stars is up against Saints and Njube Spurs battles Casmyn.
