Late Heroics Lift Nkayi UTD Past Mbizo FC
Nkayi UTD answered their critics in style today, bouncing back from last week’s defeat to Casmyn FC with a hard-fought 2-0 victory over disciplined army side Mbizo FC.
For 45 minutes it was a frustrating watch. Nkayi UTD looked flat and could only muster 2 shots on target in the opening half, as Mbizo FC sat deep and frustrated the hosts. The breakthrough seemed a long way off.
But football is a game of two halves, and Nkayi UTD came out transformed. The introduction of substitute Toto Banda changed the tempo. His run was halted illegally just outside the box, and from the resulting free kick Nkayi found the opener. Nhlanhla Fumapano whipped the ball in with precision, and More Blessing Ernesto timed his jump perfectly to head past the Mbizo keeper.
The army side pushed for a response, leaving space at the back. Nkayi UTD punished them. Tino Chitete threaded a clever pass through the defense, and Jimmy Chivasa kept his composure to slot home the second.

From cagey to clinical, Talen Vision’s 5-1 win gives them serious momentum as the season pushes on
