Late Drama: Imbizo Steal Point
Imbizo FC battled back to earn a 1-1 draw against Aqua Stars in a tense afternoon clash.
The first half produced no goals as both defences held firm. Aqua Stars struck first when Takunda Chakudunga fired home in the 54th minute, and the home side looked set for victory.
But Imbizo had other plans. Deep into stoppage time, Craig Nyongoloba pounced on a corner and smashed home the equaliser. His last-minute strike stunned the home crowd and earned Imbizo a vital point.
Aqua Stars will rue missed chances, while Imbizo celebrate a never-say-die spirit that refuses to quit until the final whistle.
Talen Vision Cut Gap with 3-0 Win
Talen Vision closed to within one point of Hwange FC after a commanding 3-0 victory over BlackRock at White City Stadium today.
Gabriel Rugoho gave Talen Vision the perfect start, converting a 9th minute penalty for 1-0. The lead was doubled early in the second half when Tawanda Kaduwa pounced on a rebound after Rugoho’s shot was saved by the BlackRock goalkeeper.
Joseph Antonyo then sealed the win with a moment of magic, beating two defenders before slotting home near the post.
With Hwange facing Zebra Revolution tomorrow, the title race is now wide open.
Megawatt Rise to 4th After 2-1 Win
Megawatt walked away from Turkmine with a 2-1 victory over Casmyn in today’s Pacific Breeze Southern Region Soccer League clash.
Goals from Kivy Zulu and Tinashe Mtshiya proved enough for the visitors, who showed quality in attack to earn all three points on the road. Anonz Russel Tamika scored for Casmyn and gave the home side a late fight, but Megawatt held firm defensively to close out the win.
The result moves Megawatt up to 4th on the table with 21 points after 13 games played. A big step forward in their campaign.
Jordan FC Rise to 3rd After Comeback Win
Jordan FC kept their strong start to the season going with a 2-1 comeback victory over Byo Warriors today.
John Ngwenya put the home side ahead soon after the second half began, but Jordan FC refused to drop their heads. Jefios Sibanda changed the game, first scoring in the 77th minute from a Tavonga Buda assist, then sealing it with an 89th minute strike to complete his brace.
Sibanda’s Man of the Match display lifts Jordan FC to 3rd on the Pacific Breeze Southern Region Soccer League table. Next up: a huge Match Day 14 clash vs Talen Vision at Mthwakazi Ground.
Khami UTD Delight Fans with 3-0 Home Win
Khami UTD gave their home supporters a performance to remember yesterday, beating Vic Falls Herentials 3-0 at Khami Ground in the Pacific Breeze Southern Region Soccer League.
Dumolwenkosi Nkomo was the star, scoring twice with a goal in each half to put Khami UTD in control. Alix Ncube added the third to seal a dominant display in front of the home crowd.
The hosts were composed and clinical throughout. They defended well, attacked with purpose, and made home advantage count. A clean sheet and three points make it a perfect day at Khami Ground.
Jawa Penalty Secures 1-0 Win for Nkayi UTD
Karel Jawa’s cool penalty in the 39th minute was enough to lift Nkayi UTD to a 1-0 victory over Mosi Rovers yesterday at Chinotimba Stadium.
The breakthrough came when Tino Chitete was fouled in the box. Jawa stepped up and converted from the spot to give the visitors the lead. Nkayi UTD then defended with discipline to protect the advantage until full time.
The result is a timely boost after a tough run. Nkayi UTD were knocked out of the Munhumutapa Cup by Jordan and drew 0-0 with Khami UTD last weekend. Jawa’s spot-kick gets them back to winning ways.

Morestuff Ncube was on target again, scoring in each half to complete his brace and move to 8 goals for the season. Mufaro Mutena added a second-half strike to seal a dominant team display.
The result is a perfect response after a 1-1 draw with Imbizo FC in their midweek fixture. Hwange FC looked sharp and composed, controlling the game from start to finish to keep the gap at the summit intact.
