A brace by Leonard Jani secured maximum points for Hwange in a Pacific Breeze Southern Region Soccer League encounter against Zimbabwe Saints on Sunday to mantain stranglehold at the top of the standings.
The game played at Luveve B Arena saw Hwange dominate proceedings and make them early pacesetter in the league with 17 points after seven games.
For Saints, the result left them on position 10 with eight points.
Bulawayo Warriors were the biggest scorers over the weekend firing four past Aqua Stars who could not reply in a game played on Saturday at Chiefs Village.
The win saw Warriors climb to second position with 14 points. The side has scored nine goals in two matches while not conceding.
Aqua are third from bottom with five points.
Talen Vision and Jordan are third and fourth with 13 points apiece following identical one all draws against Victoria Falls Herentals and Nkayi United respectively, over the weekend.
Bosso90 collected their first set of three points albeit through a walkover after the requisite number of police officers failed to turn up for their clash against Imbizo at Llewelin on Saturday.
